'It's like they never miss a pass': The Swans' Galbraith continues battle with Pep's side.

Ethan Galbraith can't help but smile as he reminisces about the dramatic final moments of Swansea's stunning fightback victory against Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup. The game wrapped up with Galbraith briefly donning a supporter's spectacles amid the post-goal scrum.

With the clock ticking into the 97th minute, Galbraith rattled the woodwork with a powerful strike from distance, and Cameron Burgess quickly converted the deflection before racing off toward the East Stand to celebrate, with supporters swarming the players.

Stunning Reversal

The result sealed an unbelievable comeback given Swansea had been behind 2-0 during the final 45 minutes. Amid the euphoria, there was some minor mishaps. He shared, "There was a supporter shouting out and Josh Key and I were wondering: 'What's he on about here?' Then we spotted the glasses. It was a light-hearted moment putting them on. We are on the pitch as players but we're individuals, too, so to have a laugh with the fans is always good."

Premier League Giants

The result earned a upcoming match at home against Pep Guardiola's side on Wednesday, opponents Galbraith ran close at the comparable phase of the FA Cup with his former club in February. He had an excellent perspective when his former team took the lead in remarkable manner, with a teammate's first-time shot from about 45 yards going in via the bar and the City goalkeeper. Many argued that it was credited as an own goal.

"You would have wished they would've credited him for taking the effort on from that far out," stated Galbraith, who started in midfield before shifting to right flank after Orient changed formation. That meant getting to grips with Jack Grealish, with whom he exchanged jerseys, and the attacker was among the opposition who complimented the way Orient attacked the game.

City's Quality

"Athletically they are very good but even the fundamentals and routine actions, they can just perform consistently," Galbraith says. "It appears that they complete every delivery and they are adept at control and take the sting out of a game. You can feel you're doing well and then without warning they will just fizz a pass through a line without you even noticing. You have to be switched on at all times of the game. It requires a tough attitude and concentration just to remain competitive."

New Chapter

The club were keen on Galbraith in January and beat off competition to bring him in in the summer in a £1.5m deal. He made a name as a popular figure across a couple of years at Orient and has swiftly replicated that in Wales. At his previous team he joined forces once more with Richie Wellens, who four years ago gave Galbraith his first extended run in first-team action on loan at his loan club from Manchester United. Then came a loan at League Two Salford City, before he departed his boyhood club.

Growth Journey

"I was perhaps a somewhat inexperienced going into professional soccer. I think many athletes would say youth team games is entirely separate. Sometimes it appears possession is exchanged without much intensity. There are limited physical contests. Once you start playing professional matches you have to adapt rapidly."

International Recognition

His progress reflects that maturation for both domestically and internationally, excelling for the Green and White Army, who remain in contention for the international competition next summer via the playoffs and for whom he has been selected in the recent fixtures, including both legs encounters against the German national team. His former international manager, Galbraith's former international manager, offered the highest praise, saying he was Northern Ireland's "creative maestro" given how he manipulates the ball and his ability to spot a decisive through ball.

Starting Out

This marks a remarkable path for the youngster from the Queens Park estate in the Belfast suburb, just outside the capital, who used to see his father, his father, also a midfielder, play for his father's team.

Manchester United Experience

Galbraith's sole appearance for United came in Central Asia in 2019, a continental tournament trip to Astana, where they competed on an plastic turf and the stadium roof was closed owing to the weather of -15C. "It was a long trip and it was freezing," he says, grinning. "The preceding week, the academy prospects trained together, so that helped us acclimatise. Just to accompany the senior squad and get a couple of minutes at the end was incredible."

Moving On

How difficult was it to depart Manchester United, the club he joined from Linfield aged his mid-teens? "The decision proved quite easy, because I reached the point where I knew I wasn't going to make it at first-team level. I'm extremely thankful for the experience gained but it got to the point where I believed I had to take a different path, drop down the leagues and play professional soccer. Now I'm steadily working my way back up."

Life in Swansea

It is the middle of the day at the team's practice facility but Galbraith has somewhere to be at the early evening: a driving theory test, another progress toward getting on the road. Until recently to the local area, the young professional was a regular in Swansea's dubbed team minibus, a minibus driven by team personnel, the drivers, which shuttles players to and from training and matches.

"I travel with a teammate, another squad member, an Ivorian player – Melker Widell used to be in it but has got his license. It's enjoyable to interact with the lads but I'm aiming to be the following person to drive independently and on the road. Franco enjoys practical jokes; he's frequently playing tricks."

Supporter Connections

During his time at his former club, Galbraith would blend in with supporters on public transport after beginning his trip at Brentwood. "I tried|I attempted|My aim
